[Task 9] Final choice: Snow Patrol, Run - Mehmet Tarhan

                        

This is our groups final choice for the our A2 coursework. It is called Run, created by Snow Patrol. We aim to make our video more distinctive and distinguished from the one posted above. In my opinion, considering Goodwins theory, this version of the music video is somewhat illustrative. Where the lyrics and visuals have a similar link and meaning. Our groups aim is turn this video into an amplification type music video, which I believe is more than doable. Our video will be set in the day time, have scenes filmed in the canal (Regents Canal) and a park (Barnard Park). But by far the biggest difference is that we show the woman the lead singer is talking about, but keep her mysterious and unidentified. The song talks about the singer having to leave, make a journey, and that their relationship would not work out anymore. In our version, it will be the woman he is talking about leaving, and another key difference is that we will film footage with her inside a London Black Cab, which to me, sends out iconography of a journey, and the colour black itself, brings conclusions that the topic is bleak and that the future does not look bright.
